Summer 2022 featured Taxiarchoula Kanati’s debut at the Salzburger Festspiele as Sibylle in Carl Orff’s “De Temporum Fine Comoedia”, under the baton of Teodor Currentzis and directed by Romeo Castellucci. Ms. Kanati made her debut as Mezzo with the roles of Dido, Baba, Carmen, Charlotte, Composer, Orlofsky. After one year of intense study for entering the Soprano repertoire, Ms. Kanati made her first appearance as Soprano in March 2024 as Ortlinde in "Die Walküre" at Greek National Opera, a production conducted by Roland Kluttig. In the field of contemporary music, Ms Kanati was invited by the composer Jochen Neurath to give the world premiere of his dramatic song-cycle “Tears”, in a concert with Wagner’s Wesendonck-Lieder at the Richard-Wagner-Association in Bamberg.
