Flávia Darcie is a Brazilian Mezzo-Soprano based in New York City. She received her Master’s Degree in Classical Vocal Performance from New York University and her Bachelor’s in music with concentration in Conducting from FAAM, university located in São Paulo, where she was born and raised. Her musical path started at the age of ten, as a classical pianist. Her passion and curiosity for many art forms led her to explore choir and orchestral conducting, acting and singing. Later she realized that as an Opera Singer she would finally be able to unite these different means of expression. She is a member of The Opera Collective, Dell'Arte Opera Ensemble and IBOC and was recently seen in La Traviata with City Lyric Opera and in the premiere of Juana by Carla Lucero playing the Title Role with D
