The Festival aims to venture beyond traditional classical music boundaries bridging the gap between audience and performers through innovative programming and pre-concert events. Our panel discussions, Artists in Conversation, explore the composers intent and the performers working process, giving insight into why this music is so enduring.

Now in its fifth year,  the Festival has featured renowned vocal ensembles The Sixteen and I Fagiolini, BBC New Generation Artists The Consone Quartet, Rautio Piano Trio and soprano Anna Dennis, alongside virtuosic instrumental performances from the Festival Baroque ensemble.

We look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful East Sussex Coast for Hastings Early Music Festival 2022.

HEMF is run by a small team of volunteers passionate about bringing early music to Hastings. The Festival is supported by ticket sales and the generosity of our Festival Friends.
