Mahler Student Festival Orchestra
The international Mahler Student Festival Orchestra was founded in 2022 by bassoonist Jappe Dendievel and conductor Lars Corijn. In March 2023, the orchestra gave its very first concerts, where Gustav Mahler's 2nd Symphony was on the program. Some 180 musicians stood together on stage for two sold-out halls. 

 

After a first successful project, the orchestra continues its mission with a brand new season in which 3 great symphonies will be on the stage. From Antwerp via Ghent to Leuven: the orchestra can be seen live in various Belgian cities during the new season.

Mahler Student Festival Orchestra
Het internationale Mahler Student Festival Orchestra werd in 2022 opgericht door fagottist Jappe Dendievel en dirigent Lars Corijn. In maart 2023 gaf het orkest haar allereerste concerten, waarbij de 2e symfonie van Gustav Mahler op het programma stond. Zo'n 180 muzikanten stonden samen op het podium voor twee uitverkochte zalen. 

 

Na een eerste geslaagd project zet het orkest haar missie verder met een gloednieuw seizoen waarin 3 grote symfonieën op de pupiter zullen staan. Van Antwerpen via Gent tot Leuven: je kan het orkest in dit nieuwe seizoen in verschillende Belgische steden live aan het werk zien.
