With its first season in 1967-68, Nevada Opera is the first and longest lasting professional regional opera company in the state of Nevada. Starting in January 2012, our new General Director, Monica Harte, the daughter of Nevada Opera's founders Ted and Deena Puffer, is putting fresh energy into our company with operas produced with innovative costume and set themes - while maintaining the integrity of the original storylines and quality of the music.
