<p>The Dallas Opera and The Dallas Opera Guild are pleased to a state-based vocal competition to alternate every other year with The Dallas Opera National Vocal Competition.</p>
<p>The state competition is open to singers, age 18 through 30 (as of May 9, 2020), who are <strong>Texas residents or students</strong>. Applicants may not have a participated in any Young Artist or Resident Artist Program with a professional opera company, or, had any prior principal artist contract with an opera company.</p>

<p><span>DEBUT ist ein internationaler Klassik-Gesangswettbewerb, der junge Opernsängerinnen und Opernsänger am Beginn ihrer Karrieren fördern will. Er richtet sich an die Stimmfächer Sopran, Mezzosopran &amp; Alt, Tenor, Countertenor und Bariton &amp; Bass. Junge Gesangssolisten haben hier die Chance, sich in internationaler Konkurrenz einer hochkarätigen Jury zu stellen. Der Wettbewerb findet alle zwei Jahre in Weikersheim statt, wo nach einer dreimonatigen Bewerbungsphase die Vorauswahlen sowie die Wettbewerbswoche ausgetragen werden.</span></p>
