The Festival aims to venture beyond traditional classical music boundaries bridging the gap between audience and performers through innovative programming and pre-concert events. Our panel discussions, Artists in Conversation, explore the composers intent and the performers working process, giving insight into why this music is so enduring.

Now in its fifth year,  the Festival has featured renowned vocal ensembles The Sixteen and I Fagiolini, BBC New Generation Artists The Consone Quartet, Rautio Piano Trio and soprano Anna Dennis, alongside virtuosic instrumental performances from the Festival Baroque ensemble.

We look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful East Sussex Coast for Hastings Early Music Festival 2022.

HEMF is run by a small team of volunteers passionate about bringing early music to Hastings. The Festival is supported by ticket sales and the generosity of our Festival Friends.

Greta Productions' Helsinki Contemporary Opera Festival is an unforgettable cultural dive into new music theater and opera every summer. The festival is held at the Alexander Theatre for the fourth time from August 15 to September 1, 2024, and it is a unique event in Finland showcasing the works and creators of this art form.

The Helsinki Contemporary Opera Festival was first held from August 19 to September 5, 2021, at the Alexander Theatre, and it remains Finland's broadest festival showcasing the works and creators in the field.

The festival aims to preserve and highlight domestic chamber opera and music theater by providing opportunities for freelancers and professional groups in the field to perform their works in Finland's old opera house. At the same time, the festival introduces the audience to the most interesting and timely performances from the independent sector, refreshing the significance of opera culture in our society.
