The operetta tells a "crazy" story full of funny conspiracies, confusions and love sparks, the main plot of which is the undermined fidelity of a newly married couple. He is just returning home from his honeymoon and it seems that nothing can threaten their happy future. But on the very day of their return, the newlywed Marquis Aristide receives a letter from the "prefect of Nancy". Clouds descend over marital fidelity: the real writer of the letter is the seductive dancer Tangolita, Aristide's former lover, who demands a meeting at a ball at the Savoy Hotel. And the marquis decides to leave for the ball...

Composer Paul Abraham was able to conjure up an absolutely carefree world, in which one hit follows another, using a medley of European jazz, Hungarian czardás, tango, klezmer and classic Viennese operetta, and as in any proper operetta, there are also sopranos singing to heaven and a magical love duet. You can also enjoy musical or revue-themed creations à la Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, in short, absolute relaxation!

Opereta vypráví „crazy“ příběh plný vtipných konspirací, záměn a milostného jiskření, jehož hlavní zápletkou je podkopaná věrnost čerstvě oddaného páru. Ten se právě vrací z líbánek domů a zdá se, že jejich šťastnou budoucnost nemůže vůbec nic ohrozit. Ale právě v den jejich návratu dostane novomanžel, markýz Aristide dopis od „prefekta z Nancy“. Nad manželskou věrností se stáhnou mračna: skutečným pisatelem dopisu je totiž svůdná tanečnice Tangolita, Aristidova bývalá milenka, která se domáhá setkání na plesu v hotelu Savoy. A markýz se rozhodne na ples odejít…

Skladatel Paul Abraham dokázal pomocí pelmelu evropského jazzu, maďarského čardáše, tanga, klezmeru i klasické vídeňské operety vykouzlit absolutně bezstarostný svět, ve kterém jeden hit střídá druhý, a jako v každé správné operetě nechybí ani do nebes zpívající soprány a kouzelná milostná dueta. Dočkáte se i muzikálově či revuálně laděných kreací à la Ginger Rogers a Fred Astaire, zkrátka absolutní relax!
