The Modigliani Quartet celebrated its fifteenth anniversary with an album Portraits that our four musicians defined in these terms: “The idea was to offer the listener a journey through the portraits of very different composers, in a logical and coherent sequence. A sort of portrait gallery in the art of which the painter, whose name we bear, was a master". Artists favoring "encounters", they took on the artistic direction of the aptly named Rencontres Musicales d'Evian, a former Rostropovich festival. They invited for this new evening for the benefit of LICRA their accomplice the pianist Nicholas Angelich, the mezzo Marianne Crebassa and the dancers Etoile Agnès Letestu and Florent Melac. A new beautiful meeting in perspective, that of chamber music and dance with artists among the best in their respective fields.
