Come da tradizione, il Teatro “Giuditta Pasta” e il Comune di Saronno hanno scelto di celebrare questa ricorrenza rendendo omaggio ad un grande compositore italiano: quest’anno sarà la volta di Ottorino Respighi con una delle sue più celebri composizioni, il “Trittico Botticelliano”. Per mezzo di una sublime orchestrazione, arte di cui è stato profondo innovatore e maestro indiscusso, Respighi rievoca sonoramente le suggestioni ispirategli da tre dipinti del Botticelli: “Allegoria della Primavera”, “Adorazione dei magi” e la “Nascita di Venere”.
In apertura, un interessante punto di vista sul gusto musicale italiano con l'”Ouverture nello stile italiano” di F. Schubert. Vienna all’inizio dell’Ottocento è in fermento culturale per le numerose rappresentazioni delle opere di Rossini e l’autore viennese sceglie di omaggiare lo “stile italiano” con una composizione che ne richiama spunti melodici e vivacità ritmiche.
Tra Respighi e Schubert, una pagina stupenda di Mozart, ricca di virtuosismi pianistici che si fondono con particolari colori orchestrali, dove due temi contrapposti trovano la conciliazione nella riesposizione conclusiva.

As per tradition, the “Giuditta Pasta” Theater and the Municipality of Saronno have chosen to celebrate this anniversary by paying homage to a great Italian composer: this year it will be Ottorino Respighi's turn with one of his most famous compositions, the “Botticellian Triptych ”. By means of a sublime orchestration, an art of which he was a profound innovator and undisputed master, Respighi sonorously recalls the suggestions inspired by three paintings by Botticelli: "Allegory of Spring", "Adoration of the Magi" and the "Birth of Venus".
At the beginning, an interesting point of view on Italian musical taste with the "Ouverture in the Italian style" by F. Schubert. Vienna at the beginning of the nineteenth century was in cultural ferment due to the numerous performances of Rossini's works and the Viennese author chose to pay homage to the "Italian style" with a composition that recalls its melodic ideas and rhythmic liveliness.
Between Respighi and Schubert, a wonderful page by Mozart, full of piano virtuosity that blends with particular orchestral colors, where two opposing themes find reconciliation in the final restatement.
