Mozart’s sparkling comic opera of assumed identities and infidelity, Così fan tutte, begins with a bet as Don Alfonso sets out to prove that no woman can be faithful to her lover. Head over heels in a double romance with two sisters from Ferrara, the young soldiers Guglielmo and Ferrando put Fiordiligi and Dorabella to the test, pretending to go to war but returning, in exotic disguise, to seduce each other’s fiancée.
