After its premiere in 1929 in Berlin's Metropoltheater, Lehár's most recent work immediately began its international triumph. The world-famous tenor Richard Tauber once again enchanted the operetta world with his latest role as Sou-Chong. "Yours is my whole heart" and "Always smile" became mega hits in opera format, brilliantly orchestrated and of great charisma.

Nach der Uraufführung 1929 im Berliner Metropoltheater trat Lehárs jüngstes Werk sogleich seinen internationalen Siegeszug an. Der weltberühmte Tenor Richard Tauber hatte mit seiner neuesten Rolle als Sou-Chong wieder einmal die Operettenwelt verzaubert. „Dein ist mein ganzes Herz“ und „Immer nur lächeln“ wurden zu Megahits im Opernformat, brillant instrumentiert und von großer Strahlkraft.
