After great success in the first year of Thomas Kerbl's operetta directorship with Franz Lehar's
"The Merry Widow", Leo Fall's best-known operetta, "Der Fidele Bauer", will be performed on the stage of the Stadttheater Bad in the second season in summer 2023.

 

The "Fidele Bauer" is considered the operetta with direct reference to Upper Austria. The scene of the first act is the village of Oberwang, which in the 2023 Bad Hall version was obviously relocated to the town of Adlwang. Well-known melodies such as "Everyone wears his pinkerl" or "Heinerle, Heinerle hab' koa Geld" are presented in the proven direction of Diethmar Strasser and the musical direction of Walter Rescheneder by an authentic Upper Austrian ensemble in language and color.
