»Die Fledermaus« is considered the operetta of all, full of waltz, polka, who-with-who, champagne, confusion, disguise and fraternization. How refreshing that Gabriel von Eisenstein, who wants to have fun with young women before he goes to prison, has his wife Rosalinde do the same for her: with her old singing teacher Alfred. Only a tenor can be so bold! Adele, the chambermaid, is striving for something higher, but first as Miss Olga in her lady's dress to the ball. And so all the lovable characters who are not so particular about the truth arrive at Prince Orlofsky's ball. He is young, rich, bored - then a retaliatory action by Dr. Falcon just right. He still has a score to settle with Eisenstein: “The bat takes revenge! « Orlofsky's ball becomes a stage. And in the end, everyone meets again in prison. Here, Herr von Eisenstein finds out who his familiar brother, the Chevalier Chargrin, really is and what the doppelganger in his dressing gown is all about. Eisenstein's acquittal is tossed with champagne, because after all it's his fault, isn't it?
