Oratorio / Orchestral
Shinichi Suzuki was one of those educators who believed in the potential of their students without limits. Claiming that every person is born talented, he developed a method that is popular all over the world, enabling the youngest to learn to play an instrument. Although the Suzuki method was developed in the middle of the last century, it still enjoys the support of many educators. This is because Suzuki departed from the traditional way of educating musicians, including by involving parents in the learning process. It is said that anyone can learn to play an instrument just like a language, by imitating their elders. Engaged parents, learning to play music with their child, is half the battle. The second part is to create conditions conducive to the child's exercise and further development of skills. Encouraging listening to music and going to concerts, playing in a team and emphasizing the role of cooperation help in this. It turns out that the Suzuki method is more than a recipe for teaching young children to play an instrument. It's basically a kind of philosophy The young musicians performing during the penultimate concert of the 51st Wratislavia Cantans International Festival will convince the listeners about the effects of the Suzuki method. Together with the NFM Boys' Choir, the choir "Con Brio" and orchestras of Suzuki schools will perform. The youngest of this year's performers will present an extremely diverse repertoire - from baroque to the latest music. The finale of the concert will be the world premiere of a new work by the Wrocław composer and teacher Michał Moc. The whole will be led by Antonio Mosca, a conductor who actively promotes the Suzuki method in Italy.
