Koncert
Oratorio / OrchestralConcert
Sinfonia Selandia's concerts in the current season are a tribute to the art of bel canto singing and thus to the 2 greatest Italian opera composers Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini. In September, it was Verdi, and for the concert here in March, excerpts from Puccini's most famous operas will be performed. The soloists are regulars from the previous concert, namely the soprano Cecilia Lindwall and the tenor Jacob Skov Andersen. Cecilia Lindwall was educated in Oslo but now lives in Copenhagen. After her critically acclaimed debut in La Boheme at the Norwegian Opera in 2000 and as a prize winner in the Schloss Rheinberg competition in 2001, she has worked professionally in Germany, Norway, Sweden and Denmark as a sought-after concert and oratorio singer and was also employed as a soloist for a number of years at the opera in Braunschweig. Jacob Skov Andersen is part of the prestigious 'Young Artist Program' at the Royal Danish Theatre, where he has been very successful in the roles of Tamino in Mozart's 'The Magic Flute' and Pierre in 'Nothing' by D. Bruce, for which he won a Reumert as 'Singer of the Year 2021'. Jacob has already sung several leading roles on the Danish opera stage. Including a critically acclaimed debut as Pinkerton in 'Madame Butterfly' at the Opera in Svendborg, Leander in Carl Nielsen's 'Maskarade' with Helsingør Kammeropera and Rodolfo in 'La Boheme' by Puccini at the CPH Opera Festival. In addition, he has, among other things, sang the tenor part; in Schubert's 'Messe no 6' with CPH Phil, in Beethoven's '9. symphony' with the Danish Entertainment Orchestra and in Rossini's 'Petit Messe Solenelle' with Ensemble Storstrøm. The concert is conducted by Inge Fabricius and presented by Julie Fabricius. Tickets for DKK 100 can be bought on the church's website. Remaining tickets are sold at the entrance with payment by mobile pay or contact. The concert is supported by the Danish Orchestra Association.
