The Paride Venturi International Academy of Opera, founded by Carlo Colombara and Fulvio Massa in the name of Maestro Paride Venturi, a student of Arturo Melocchi, has been a reference in the teaching of operatic singing since 2020. The academy reaffirms this commitment with a Masterclass on W. A. Mozart’s opera, Le nozze di Figaro. The masterclass entails a ten-day program comprising lessons in vocal technique, musical style, and direction, culminating in the staging of the opera on May 3 and 4, 2024, at the municipal theater of San Giovanni in Persiceto, Bologna. The selection is open to young individuals of all vocal ranges and nationalities, aged between 18 and 35 for sopranos and tenors, and 18 and 37 for mezzo-sopranos, contraltos, baritones, and basses. Applications must be submitted by 12:00 on March 31, 2024.
