Opera by Gaetano Donizetti With Lynette Tapia and John Osborn two world stars can be experienced at Braunfels Castle in one of the most famous bel canto operas. The American tenor John Osborn is one of the world's most successful tenors. He is a regular guest at the world's greatest opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera New York, the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden London, the Vienna State Opera, La Scala Milan, the Arena di Verona or the Zurich Opera House. John Osborn has received countless awards throughout his career. Already at the age of 21 (1994) he won the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and in 1996 in Bordeaux he was awarded the first prize of the international singing competition 'Operalia' founded by Placido Domingo. Most recently, John Osborn was awarded 'Best Tenor' at the International Opera Awards 'Oscar della Lirica' in China at the end of 2017 and also won the 'Premio Cittadina di Diano Marina'. American coloratura soprano with Bolivian roots, Lynette Tapiahas also won Metropolitan Opera National Council Awards and performs primarily in the United States. In addition to her engagements at Los Angeles Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Santa Fe Opera, Carnegie Hall, and in Washington, she has recently been heard more frequently in Europe. She has sung at the Concertgebow Amsterdam, the Kölner Philharmonie, the Alte Oper Frankfurt and the Salzburg Festival. Lynette Tapia has appeared on stage as Lucia in 'Lucia di Lammermoor' and as Marie in 'La fille du regiment' by Gaetano Donizetti, as the Queen of the Night in the Mozart opera 'The Magic Flute' or in the role of Liu in Giacomo Puccini's 'Turandot'. In 2014, alongside John Osborn as Alfredo, the successful artist sang the title role of Violetta Valéry in Verdi's 'La Traviata'
