Posadka

Gaetano Donizetti's operatic masterpiece Lucia di Lammermoor is a title shrouded in mystique and beauty - beautiful singing, beautiful music ... In this production we add beautiful scenography and costumes by Salvatore Rousse, a longtime artist of the Roman Opera and Dimo Kostadinov, set designer at the Stara Zagora State Opera. Love will come to life on stage in an exciting opera story. The love locked in the soul of a young girl. Love that everyone perceives as madness. In the production we will see allegorical moments, costumes - classic and fantastic, people and visions ... The world of Lucia di Lammermoor is a world of polarities and beauty. Opposition between what man is forced to do down here on earth - and what he expects to receive from those, the better world . The literary basis was Walter Scott's then-popular novel The Bride of Lammermoor, which tells the story of a long-standing feud between two families in seventeenth-century Scotland, with dire consequences for two young lovers. Enrico Ashton, ruler of Lammermoor, is determined to thwart his sister Lucia's love for his hereditary enemy, Edgardo, ruler of Ravenswood. The brother used cunning to marry his sister to Lord Arturo Bucklow. But when the truth comes out, the terrified Lucia kills the groom and goes crazy. In her visions, she is happy in the arms of her beloved Edgardo. Edgardo can't stand what happened and commits suicide. The scenes with Lucia's madness are one of the most expressive in the history of opera and contribute greatly to the fame of Lucia di Lammermoor as one of Donizetti's greatest works. In "Lucia di Lammermoor" the characteristic features of Donizetti's music are expressed in the brightest way: cordiality, warmth, sincerity and exquisite melody, deep emotionality, romantic charm. The arias, ensembles and large mass scenes in Lucia di Lammermoor belong to the highest examples of the Belcanto style. The premiere of Lucia di Lammermoor, which took place on September 26, 1835 at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, was a resounding success. Donizetti's work soon caused all other operas written on the same subject to be forgotten. Only a year and a half later, Lucia di Lammermoor was staged in Paris, Vienna and other major European cities with great success. Since then, this opera has been performed in all world opera houses, and Lucia's part is one of the most attractive for coloratura sopranos.
