One of the highlights of the 2024 arts calendar, Puccini's opera Madama Butterfly returns to Shanghai, this time jointly co-produced by the Shanghai Grand Theatre and the London Royal Opera House. Belgian director Leiser and his creative partner Patrice Caurier have been invited to direct this edition of "Madama Butterfly", with Xu Zhong, the president of the Shanghai Opera House, being the conductor.
