Here every human being's fate, death, congealed in Mozart's immortal Requiem, aggravated by its existence as a fragment that has undergone various completions - and there the dramatic rebellion against one's own fate, as driven by Beethoven, re-formed from fragments and thought through further : In the Beethoven Year 2020, the composer Anna Clyne, who was born in London in 1980, extracted a few melodic, rhythmic and harmonic motifs from the three movements of his Piano Sonata in C minor op. 13, the "Sonate pathétique", and in three movements of her own work arranged for string orchestra. 
"Stride", named after the ascending and descending octave basses of Beethoven's first movement, wrests new, moving expression from the old material.
The German conductor Anja Bihlmaier, who has made a name for herself internationally as chief conductor of the Residentie Orkest Den Haag and first guest conductor of the Sinfonia Lahti, introduces the dramatic "Stride" to Mozart's Requiem, exactly 231 years after his death - brought to life in the association Camerata Salzburg, Bach Choir and an outstanding young solo quartet.
