From Broadway and 8 Oscars... from Audrey Hepburn to legend...
Within a few years, the musical sold out more than 5,000 performances on New York's Broadway and in London's West End and has since become one of the most successful musicals of all time. The musical is based on the play "Pygmalion" by Irish Nobel Prize winner Bernard Shaw and was composed by composer Frederick Loewe with immortal tunes such as "I would have danced tonight", "On the street, my darling, where you live" and "With nem little piece of happiness” set to music. The film adaptation of MY FAIR LADY with Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle and Rex Harrison as Professor Higgins is also legendary - the film alone was awarded eight Oscars.
