Four young singers from the Stuttgart State Opera International Opera Studio present themselves in the annual song concert in the Stuttgart Opera House: soprano Clare Tunney from Great Britain, mezzo-soprano Linsey Coppens from Belgium, tenor Ángel Macías from Mexico and bass Gerard Farreras perform from Spain will songs by European composers on this evening from Spain to Russia. Together with the musical director and pianist Vlad Iftinca alternates , they have designed a song program which thematically between cheerfulness, love, dramatic seriousness, shimmering and empathic intoxication. Robert Schumann's Spanisches Liederspiel for four voices marks the climax and the end of the evening: the composer wrote this rarely heard cycle on nine poems by Emanuel Geibel, in which the singers will also bring their acting skills to bear.
