Das renommierte venetianische »Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto«, unter der Leitung von Marco Angius, und die Pianistin Tamara Stefanovich präsentieren im Großen Saal der Elbphilharmonie ein äußerst abwechslungsreiches Programm aus drei Epochen: Neben Bartóks Divertimento für Streicher und Haydns populärer Symphonie »mit dem Paukenwirbel« erklingt Strauss »Burleske für Klavier und Orchester« – ein Werk, das als eine enorme pianistische Herausforderung gilt: Erst fünf Jahre nach seiner Entstehung konnte das Werk 1890 von dem Liszt-Schüler Eugen d’Albert uraufgeführt werden.

The renowned Venetian "Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto", under the direction of Marco Angius, and the pianist Tamara Stefanovich present an extremely varied program from three eras in the Great Hall of the Elbphilharmonie: In addition to Bartók's Divertimento for strings and Haydn's popular symphony "with the "Timpani roll" sounds Strauss's "Burleske for piano and orchestra" - a work that is considered an enormous pianistic challenge: the work was only premiered five years after it was written in 1890 by Liszt's student Eugen d'Albert.
