The ancient theater rat Poldi has lived in the prompter box of the big theater since time immemorial. Nothing is alien to her here. But most of all she loves the classical music played by the orchestra; she knows all the musicians by name. One day, while the orchestra is rehearsing for the spring concert, the street mouse Pit appears, who has lost his way to the theater looking for food. She doesn't know what an orchestra is. But theater rat Poldi lets her in on all the secrets, shows her the individual musical instruments and explains the heavenly compositions to her. Of course, this is not without difficulties and misunderstandings. But gradually Pit finds pleasure in the music of the orchestra. A return visit is planned...
