The orchestra is a thing of wonder, and of mystery; many musicians making a perfect collective sound. How does this happen?

The Anatomy of the Orchestra invites you to climb inside Paraorchestra and find out.

Spread across the Royal Festival Hall foyer, the ensemble performs The Four Sections, one of composer Steve Reich’s rare works for symphony orchestra.

As the musicians play, the audience wanders throughout, exploring each individual sound and how they fuse in thin air, creating a personal sonic mix as they move.
