THE LOVE GARDENER - Trailer

Countess Violante works under a false name as a gardener at the Podestà in Lagonero. Her fiancé Belfiore had stabbed her in an argument and fled. Since then he has thought her dead, but she survived and assumed a new identity as the gardener Sandrina. When Belfiore unexpectedly arrives for the wedding with Arminda, the niece of Podestà, the drama takes its course. At the same time Violante / Sandrina has to fend off the advances of the Podestà and expose themselves to the jealousy of the maid Serpetta, who herself would like to be the Podestà's lover instead of the servant Nardo's. No less jealous is Arminda, who fears about her wedding to Belfiore, for which she gave the cavalier Ramiro the pass. Needless to say, Ramiro is also involved in Lagonero's relationship carousel ...

Seven people are passionate about balancing their own feelings and interests with those of their fellow human beings. Its creator is the 19-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who dresses the entanglements of happiness and tragedy in the most beautiful arias and ensembles. La Finta Giardiniera - the gardener out of love - can rightly be regarded as the mother of all later Mozart operas. Senior director Anja Kühnhold stages this early masterpiece by Mozart.
