A moving story that takes us to the beginnings of Christianity in Ancient Rome. Händel, creator of the Messiah, returns to conquer with his music in this magnificent oratorio. 

Georg Friedrich Händel tells the moving story of Theodora at the time of the repression of the Christian faith by the Romans. A moving love story that takes us to Antioquia through the beauty of the German composer's music, in which she will end up gaining faith. 

The persecution of the first Christians by the Roman Empire is the backdrop for this story. Valens, the ruler of Antioch is doing everything possible to suppress the new faith in the most cruel way and condemns the noble Theodora to be handed over to the soldiers. 

Theodora finds support and sympathy not only among other Christians, but also among the ranks of the Roman soldiers. Didymus is willing to die to save his life (unfortunately) to no avail. But in the end faith will triumph.

Una historia conmovedora que nos traslada a los comienzos del cristianismo en la Antigua Roma. Händel, creador del Mesías, vuelve a conquistar con su música en este magnífico oratorio. 

Georg Friedrich Händel narra la conmovedora historia de Theodora en la época de la represión de la fe cristiana por los romanos. Una conmovedora historia de amor que nos traslada a Antioquía a través de la belleza de la música del compositor alemán, en la que acabará ganando la fe. 

La persecución de los primeros cristianos por parte del Imperio Romano es el telón de fondo de esta historia. Valens, el gobernante de Antioquía está haciendo todo lo posible para reprimir la nueva fe de la manera más cruel y condena a la noble Theodora a ser entregada a los soldados. 

Theodora encuentra apoyo y simpatía no solo entre otros cristianos, sino también entre las filas de los soldados romanos. Didymus está dispuesto a morir para salvar su vida (por desgracia) en vano. Pero al final la fe triunfará.
