Half a century on from the unexpected and untimely death of Jani Christou, an internationally celebrated and influential exponent of the post-war musical avant-garde, the Athens State Orchestra and the Megaron Athens Concert Hall honour his memory with a concert that includes important and beloved symphonic works of our great composer. The celebrated maestro Miltos Logiadis will conduct the outstanding mezzo-soprano, Irini Tsirakidis.

Μισό αιώνα μετά τον αδόκητο και πρόωρο χαμό του μεγάλου μας συνθέτη Γιάννη Χρήστου, ενός εκ των σημαντικότερων εκπροσώπων της μεταπολεμικής μουσικής avant-garde με διεθνή ακτινοβολία και αναγνώριση, η Κρατική Ορχήστρα Αθηνών και το Μέγαρο Μουσικής τιμούν τη μνήμη του με μία συναυλία που περιλαμβάνει σημαίνοντα και αγαπημένα συμφωνικά του έργα. Διευθύνει ο καταξιωμένος μαέστρος Μίλτος Λογιάδης και τραγουδά η εκλεκτή μεσόφωνος, Ειρήνη Τσιρακίδου.
