Шедевры Фридерика Шопена и Ференца Листа прозвучат в исполнении одного из наиболее ярких и нестандартно мыслящих музыкантов. Яков Кацнельсон исполнит виртуозное Скерцо Шопена, поэтичные «Сонеты Петрарки» Листа, «Испанскую рапсодию», которая всегда поражает своей сложностью даже искушенных слушателей. В программу также войдут «Шесть польских песен», сочинение, в котором сошлись два гения фортепиано – Лист и Шопен.

Программа концерта посвящена духу путешествий, который очень характерен для мировоззрения эпохи романтизма. Именно в это время появляется интерес к странствиям, к познанию иного, путешествиям и романтизации одиночества и скитаний. С другой стороны, XIX век – пробуждение патриотизма у художников, и начало формирования национальных музыкальных школ. Одно из самых характерных сочинений этого периода – цикл «Годы странствий» Листа. Он состоит из трех томов, каждый посвящен впечатлениям от реальных путешествий композитора. Один из них описывает «странствия» по Италии – так родились сонеты Петрарки для фортепиано.

«Испанская рапсодия» была создана под впечатлением от путешествия по Испании и Португалии в 1845 году. Это сочинение наполнено невероятными техническими сложностями, исполнить его подвластно только настоящим виртуозам. «Шесть польских песен» – исключение из всего творческого наследия Шопена. Композитор написал 19 песен для голоса и фортепиано, в то время как основа его репертуара – исключительно сольные инструментальные сочинения. Впоследствии Лист отобрал 6 песен и создал их переложение для фортепиано – получилось полноценное концертное произведение, которое с тех пор вошло в репертуар лучших мировых пианистов.

Яков Кацнельсон – выпускник Московской консерватории (класс Э. Вирсаладзе), лауреат международных конкурсов в Калуге, Трапани (Италия), Тбилиси, имени С.Т. Рихтера в Москве; дипломант ХІІІ конкурса И. С. Баха в Лейпциге, конкурса королевы Елизаветы в Брюсселе и конкурса имени Клары Хаскил в Веве. Участник международных фестивалей О. Кагана в Кройте, в Монтрё, Сараево, Утрехте (Фестиваль Жанина Янсена), Капошваре (Венгрия), Тирадентисе (Бразилия), Эрле (Тирольский фестиваль), Москве («Возвращение», «Декабрьские вечера»). Выступает сольно, в ансамблях и с оркестрами на ведущих сценах Европы.

Masterpieces by Fryderyk Chopin and Franz Liszt will be performed by one of the brightest and most innovative musicians. Yakov Katsnelson will perform Chopin’s virtuoso Scherzo, Liszt’s poetic “Sonnets of Petrarch,” and “Spanish Rhapsody,” which always amazes even sophisticated listeners with its complexity. The program will also include “Six Polish Songs,” a work in which two piano geniuses came together – Liszt and Chopin.

The concert program is dedicated to the spirit of travel, which is very characteristic of the worldview of the Romantic era. It was at this time that interest in wandering, in learning about others, in travel and in the romanticization of loneliness and wanderings appeared. On the other hand, the 19th century saw the awakening of patriotism among artists and the beginning of the formation of national music schools. One of the most characteristic works of this period is the cycle “Years of Wanderings” by Liszt. It consists of three volumes, each dedicated to impressions of the composer’s real travels. One of them describes his “wanderings” in Italy - this is how Petrarch’s sonnets for piano were born.

"Spanish Rhapsody" was created under the influence of a trip to Spain and Portugal in 1845. This composition is filled with incredible technical difficulties; only real virtuosos can perform it. “Six Polish Songs” is an exception to Chopin’s entire creative legacy. The composer wrote 19 songs for voice and piano, while the basis of his repertoire is exclusively solo instrumental works. Subsequently, Liszt selected 6 songs and created their arrangement for piano - the result was a full-fledged concert work, which has since entered the repertoire of the world's best pianists.

Yakov Katsnelson is a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory (class of E. Virsaladze), laureate of international competitions in Kaluga, Trapani (Italy), Tbilisi, named after S.T. Richter in Moscow; Diploma winner at the XIII J. S. Bach Competition in Leipzig, the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels and the Clara Haskil Competition in Vevey. Participant of the international O. Kagan festivals in Kreuth, Montreux, Sarajevo, Utrecht (Janin Jansen Festival), Kaposvár (Hungary), Tiradentes (Brazil), Erle (Tyrol Festival), Moscow (“Return”, “December Evenings”). He performs solo, in ensembles and with orchestras on leading stages in Europe.
