Biography
Claudia de Azevedo was born in São Sebastião do Caí, Brazil. She received her musical degree from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul-Brazil and then received a scholarship to attend the Concervatorio Superior de Musica del Gran Teatro del Liceo de Barcelona where she studied with Raul Gimenez, Eduard Gimenez and Raquel Pierotti. She furthered her studies with Raul Gimenez at the Akademie Bel Canto Rossini Opera Festival in Wildbad, Germany. From there, she received an invitation to sing the demanding role of Corinna in “Il Viaggio a Reims” at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Italy by Maestro Alberto Zedda. After her success in Pesaro, Claudia returned to Brazil to sing Silberklang in “Der Shauspieldirektor” (Mozart) at the Teatro Sao Pedro Porto Alegre followed by an invita
