DIEGO GODOY - Lyric-Spinto Tenor Born in Chile, December 29, 1991 and currently residing in France, Diego began his musical career at the age of 14 in Chile. He studied first with maestro Rodrigo Tapia, then with mezzo-soprano Graciela Araya at Ramon Vinay Opera Studies Center. At the age of 20, he won the Young Artist award at the Trujillo International Opera Singing Competition (Peru) and made his debut in the role of Benvolio in Gounod's “Roméo et Juliette” at the National Opera of Chile. Three years later, he played the role of Azaël in Debussy's "l'Enfant Prodigue" at the Sakrale Oper in Berlin and Ferrando in Mozart's “Così fan tutte” at the Queen's Hall Theater in Trinidad and Tobago.
