Bio: Conductor, favourite of Donato Renzetti, Gianluigi Gelmetti and Marco Zuccarini. Since he was young he has been collaborating with the Ensemble Seicentonovecento, with whom he has studied the historical performance practice and the production of first executions of today’s music.
Francesco Quattrocchi combines artistic and ideational skills as well as a tenacious passion for success that involve every phase of production of musical and operatic events. He has a deep knowledge of the operatic and symphonic traditions in the different performance practices, with a strong ability to focus on the specific quality of the performers (repertoire and roles, cadences, variations, etc.).
He has been invited as guest conductor of prestigious institutions, including: Teatro Verdi of Trieste, Dubai Opera, Royal Opera House Muscat-Oman, Helikon Opera-Moscow, Sofia Opera, Teatro Comunale of Bologna, Festival Scarlatti of the Teatro Massimo of Palermo, Teatro Solis- Montevideo, Orchestra Filarmonica of Montevideo, Festival della Valle d’Itria, Orchestra Internazionale d’Italia and so many others.
Thanks to the huge symphonic and opera repertoire (Madama Butterfly, Falstaff, Don Carlo, Mosè, I Capuleti e I Montecchi, Cavalleria Rusticana, Gianni Schicchi, etc.) and the great number of collaborations with such great artists as Ruggero Raimondi, Mariella Devia, Vladimir Stoyanov, Dimitra Theodossiou, Pietro Spagnoli, Sara Mingardo, Luciano Ganci, etc. he has been able to earn a considerable experience in a very short time.
Among the several productions in which he has been involved we remember Rossini’s Mosè, the first opera staged inside the Milan Cathedral in collaboration with Expo2015 and the inaugural concert of the new Dubai Opera conducting the symphonic gala Opera without words and Il Barbiere di Siviglia.
His audio-video recordings for MR Classics, Brilliant, Bongiovanni, C Major as well as his live performances are broadcasted by Radio3, Rai3, Mediaset, Mezzo, Arte, Canal+, ORF, ZDF, Radio Classica Sud America and they are highly appreciated by the international critics (AllMusic Guide, American Record Guide, Fanfare Magazine, etc.).
He is Score Reading Professor at Brescia-Darfo Conservatoire.
