Bio: I was born and raised in Tromsø, and have sung since I was a little boy crying to avoid having to start in a school choir. As a 9-year-old, I started singing in Tromsø Cathedral's boys' choir, and I was saved from the first moment. After the music line at Kongsbakken upper secondary school, I moved to Oslo and studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music. In the summer of 2009, I graduated with a master's degree in performing singing from NMH. There I studied under Prof. Svein Bjørkøy and Prof. Håkan Hagegård.
Musically, I move in many genres, and have done everything from opera and church music, via contemporary music to songs and shows. In addition, choir and ensemble singing have always been close to my heart.
Something that recurs no matter what I sing is a burning desire to convey stories.
In every song there is a story
In each story there is a melody
In this meeting between melody and history
, I stand as a communicator.
