Jamie Man

Born in London (1987) Jamie Man is a conductor and composer. Since receiving the Britten–Pears Conductors’ award in 2010 Jamie worked as an assistant to Oliver Knussen and later at De Nationale Opera (Amsterdam) and Silbersee Opera. Jamie's conducting highlights have included appearances at the Aldeburgh Festival in concert with pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard, La Monnaie (Brussels)/Holland Festival, Yellow Lounge (London) and Arcola Theatre (London). Jamie's first opera 'Play: Episodes in Subspace'  was commissioned by the Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon and premiered in 2016 staged by director Kristiina Helin and Shibari artist Pedro Cordas.
