Myung-in Lee

The tenor Myungin Lee was born in Daegu (South Korea). He began his vocal studies at the National University of Arts in Seoul. In 2016 he moved to Germany and continued his studies at the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin. From there he moved to the University of Music in Mainz, where he passed his concert exam in 2019. Myungin Lee won first prizes at the Ismagilov Singing Competition in Russia, as well as the Korea Vocal Competition and Chunchu Classical Music Competition in Korea. In 2020 he was awarded the Franz Völker Prize, which is associated with an engagement at the Mainz State Theater. His previous repertoire includes roles such as Ferrando in Così fan tutte , Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore and Don José in Carmen . At the Staatstheater Mainz he wi
