Bio: Argentinian conductor Natalia Salinas is one of the most strongly positioned representatives of the new generation of conductors in her country. She leads a very active and constantly expanding career, working with the most important orchestras in Argentina and Latin America, including different engagements in the main Argentinian Opera Houses: Teatro Col贸n and Teatro Argentino de La Plata. In recent years, she started expanding her international activity in Europe, receiving invitations to participate as a guest conductor in festivals in France and Germany. Natalia Salinas was recently selected as a finalist in the L脕NYI INTERNATIONAL CONDUCTING COMPETITION 2021. She stands out for 鈥渉er great vitality and personal imprint on the podium, achieving high quality performances". (Salatino, 2019) Natalia Salinas has performed with prestigious companies, such as Orquesta Sinf贸nica Nacional Argentina, Orquesta Nacional de M煤sica Argentina, Orquesta Estable del Teatro Argentina de la Plata, Orquesta Sinf贸nica de Entre R铆os, Orquesta Filarm贸nica de Mendoza, Orquesta Sinf贸nica de Bah铆a Blanca, Orquesta Estable de la Pcia. de Tucum谩n, Orquesta Sinf贸nica de San Juan, Orquesta Sinf贸nica del Estado de Sao Paulo (Brasil), Orquesta Sinf贸nica de Santo Andr茅 (Brasil), Orquesta Sinf贸nica Cesgranr铆o (Brasil), Orquesta Sinf贸nica de Antofagasta (Chile), Orquesta Juvenil del Bicentenario. She have also performed with Ensamble L铆nea (France), Divertimento Ensamble (Italy), Ensamble MEITAR (Israel), Ensamble Sonorama (Argentina). During the 2020 season she was invited by the Teatro Col贸n in Argentina as main conductor to lead two chamber opera productions: La Hija de Rappaccini by Daniel Cat谩n, and The Raven by Toshio Hosokawa. She has also been invited to collaborate with orchestras in Argentina, Brazil and Chile. She was invited to work at the Op茅ra National du Rhin (Strasbourg, France) as assistant conductor for the world premi猫re of the opera Dreamers of the Moon, by Howard Moody, and for Hansel and Gretel by E.Humperdinck. She will also work at the IMPULS Festival in Germany as main Guest Conductor with the Magdeburgische Philharmonie. She made her opera debut in 2016 with the widely acclaimed Cos矛 fan tutte by W.A.Mozart at the Teatro Argentino de La Plata, where she worked as an assistant conductor between 2015 and 2017 in titles such as Otello (G.Verdi), Cosi fan tutte (W.A. Mozart), Lucia di Lammermoor (G.Donizetti), and Written on Skin (G.Benjamin). It is since her partake in these productions that she has been regularly invited to work as a Guest Conductor by the main opera houses in the country: the Teatro Col贸n and the Teatro Argentino. In March 2018 she conducted the world premi猫re of Las Chanchas an opera commissioned by the Teatro Argentino de La Plata to the spanish composer Fabi脿 Santcovsky at the Teatro Argentino Centro de Experimentaci贸n y Creaci贸n (TACEC). In May 2017 she worked as main conductor of the Latin American premi猫re of the monodrama The Raven by Toshio Hosokawa at the Centro de Experimentaci贸n del Teatro Col贸n (CETC). In 2016 she was in charge of the world premi猫re of the opera Don Juan, opera prima by the argentinean composer Santiago Villalba, 1st prize at the 1st Young Opera Festival at the Centro de Experimentaci贸n del Teatro Col贸n. Also in 2016, she worked as a main conductor at the CETC in the world premi猫re of the operas: Kamchatka by Daniel D'adamo, and Le Malentendu by Fabi谩n Panisello. For the Teatro Col贸n she worked between 2014 and 2015 as an assistant conductor in Das M盲dchen mit den Schwefelh枚lzern (H. Lachenmann) with the Orquesta Estable del Teatro Col贸n, in TRANS (Stockhausen) with the Orquesta Filarm贸nica de Buenos Aires and in Trouble in Tahiti by L.Bernstein with Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Col贸n (ISATC). She also worked as a main conductor and as an assistant conductor in contemporary opera productions in Buenos Aires, in series such as III Ciclo Iberoamericano de 脫pera Contempor谩nea and the Festival de M煤sica Contempor谩nea del Teatro San Mart铆n, including the world premi猫re of Las guerras picrocholinas by Argentinean composer Antonio Tauriello, Los enemigos by Messiah Maiguashca, La selva interior by Marcelo Toledo. Trained as a pianist at the Conservatorio de M煤sica de Santa Cruz (Arg) and licentiate degree in orchestral conducting from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, she is currently completing a master degree in orchestral conducting specialized in music of the XX and XXI centuries at the University of Strasbourg and the Haute 脡cole des Arts du Rhin in France. She was recently awarded by the Universidad Nacional de M茅xico with a full scholarship, for the first Diploma course on Latin American Composers.
