Der Tenor Taejun Sun wurde in Seoul (Südkorea) geboren und studierte Gesang an der Seoul National University sowie an der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. Anschließend war er zwei Jahre lang Mitglied des Internationalen Opernstudios der Oper Köln bevor er zur Spielzeit 2019/2020 Ensemblemitglied am Deutschen Nationaltheater Weimar wurde. Zu seinem Repertoire gehören nicht nur Partien wie Tamino (DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE), Ferrando (COSÌ FAN TUTTE), Don Ottavio (DON GIOVANNI), Belmonte (DIE ENTFÜHRUNG AUS DEM SERAIL), Belfiore (La finta Giardiniera) oder Fenton (DIE LUSTIGEN WEIBER VON WINDSOR), Alfred (DIE FLEDERMAUS) sondern ebenfalls Partien von Don Ramiro (LA CENERENTOLA), Arturo (LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR), Nemorino (LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR) bis hin zum Alfredo (LA TRAVIATA), Duca (RIGOLETTO), Rodolf
