Biography
Themelis Glynatsis was born in Athens. He studied Comparative Literature and Theatre at the University of Kent, Classics at the University of Nottingham, and in 2004, he completed his practice-based PhD on Antonin Artaud at the University of London. Ever since, he has been working as a theatre director, working in Greece’s most prestigious venues, like the Greek Festival, the Onassis Cultural Centre, the Arts Theatre, the Greek National Opera a.o, directing plays by, amongst others, Koltès, Racine, Sophocles, Broch, Hoffmann. Ever since 2014, he has been actively engaged in the production of classic and contemporary music theatre and opera.
