Biography
William Woodard is a pianist and vocal coach in his second year with the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program. This season he joins the Metropolitan Opera Music Staff for La Traviata under the baton of Daniele Callegari. Previously, William was a Cafritz Young Artist at Washington National Opera. In the winter of 2020, he made his Kennedy Center debut as an assistant conductor for WNO’s production of Don Giovanni, under WNO’s Principal Conductor Evan Rogister. William is an alumnus of many prestigious festivals including Wolf Trap Opera, the Merola Opera Program, the Aspen Music Festival, SongFest and AIMS in Graz where he was awarded the Outstanding Lieder Pianist Prize.
