Biography
Russian soprano Zoya Tsererina was born in Moscow to a family of musicians. She studied first as a pianist before obtaining a diploma in opera from the Nizhny Novgorod Conservatory. She continued her studies with Mirella Freni, Elena Obraztsova, Renata Scotto, Vladimir Atlantov and Ileana Cotrubas. She is a prizewinner of several international competitions. Zoya Tsererina started her career as a mezzo-soprano at the Sankt Peterburg Opera performing such roles as Fidalma in Il Matrimonio Segreto, Polina in Queen of Spades, Olga in Eugen Onegin, Principessa de Bouillon in Adriana Lecouvreur and Lucretia in The Rape of Lucretia. In concert with the Russian National Philharmonic Orchestra she sang Konchakovna in Prince Igor and Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana. In 2007 she became a soloist of
