Biography
Canadian soprano Emily Dorn (previously Emily Duncan-Brown) is thrilling audiences with her “warm, rich middle, a shimmering, flexible top, excellent control… and her exquisitely beautiful delivery." (Opera News Online). In the 2022/23 season, Emily makes exciting role debuts with the Landestheater Detmold, where she has been an ensemble member since 2018, as well as returning to perform with the Opéra de Montréal. She performs the title role in "Frau Luna" by Paul Lincke, Tatjana (Eugene Onegin), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) and Der Komponist (Ariadne auf Naxos) with the Landestheater Detmold. With Opéra de Montréal Emily tackles the role of Margarita Xirgu in Osvaldo Golijov's fascinating opera "Ainadamar". Last season Emily debuted the roles of Contessa Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro)
