Originally from Franche-Comté, the tenor Léo Vermot Desroches studied the violin as well as the piano, musical writing and classical improvisation at the conservatory of Besançon, a city in which he also obtained a license in musicology. In 2013, he joined the singing class of Virginie Pochon at the Villeurbanne Conservatory, then in 2017 the Paris Superior Conservatory in the class of Valérie Guillorit. He then had the opportunity to rub shoulders with many artistic personalities such as Jeff Cohen, Anne Lebozec, Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, Margaret Hönig and Regina Werner. In addition, in 2019, Léo won the Ravel promotion from the Jaroussky Academy. Most recently winner of the International Lyrical Singing Competition in Marmande, he received the First Opera Prize and the First Melody Prize
