Pearl fishermen are one of the most beautiful compositions by Georges Bizet. When writing this work, the later author of the immortal Carmen was not yet 25 years old. However, he created an opera which, despite the unfavorable comments of contemporary critics, has stood the test of time and has been recorded on many albums. Pearl fishermen have been known in Poland for over a hundred years, and they are also featured on the posters of the best opera theaters in the world. The author took a liking to the exotic background of his operas.
