For several years now, the Kuratorium Stadtkultur Halberstadt eV has made it possible to award a new commissioned work for our symphony concerts as part of the "Orchestra Workshop", which means that they are given premiere honors - including this year's Easter concert. Then the double prizewinner of the German Music Competition 2019 Sebastian Fritsch takes us to the British Isles with Elgar's late romantic cello concerto. Once there, the wonderful "Scottish Symphony" by Mendelssohn sounds, in which he aroused the wanderlust of his Leipzig audience with enthusiastic travel impressions.

The concert is a project of the German Music Council, funded by the GVL and the German Music Competition.
