It all starts at the Christmas tree dealer: Tracy and Phil meet for the first time early on Christmas Eve in the middle of New York while searching for the perfect Christmas tree. Unfortunately only one last copy is available! Over coffee, Tracy and Phil clarify why their happiness depends on this single Christmas tree. After separating from his wife, Phil wants a perfect Christmas for himself and his son, and that includes a Christmas tree. And the first Christmas Eve awaits Tracy with her new conquest. Under no circumstances should anything go wrong, especially since everything suggests that the lover will propose to her today! Phil eventually leaves the Christmas tree to Tracy, and they go their own way. On Christmas Eve, however, nothing is as expected for both of them ... The musical revue "A New York Christmas" closes with a happy ending. It is heartfelt, humorous and told with many American Christmas songs and Broadway hits from musicals such as "White Christmas" (Irving Berlin), "On the Town" (Leonard Bernstein) or "Les Misérables" (Claude-Michel Schönberg). Three successful musical performers, including the artists Femke Soetenga and Jörg Neubauer, who are already well-known in Nordhausen, bring the Christmas story to the stage in Ivan Alboresi's staging with esprit and a lot of feeling.
