Presser Gábor-Sztevanovity Dusán: A padlás – trailer

The attic is the most successful Hungarian musical, which in December 2019 welcomed its one millionth spectator. In the more than three decades since the show, several generations have grown up in the tales of Gábor Presser, Dusán Sztevanovity and Péter Horváth.

Radio, the young scientist is working on perfecting his computer in the attic. Here come four wandering ghosts - Kid, Pusher, Prince and Lantern - the real heroes who have been left out of the tales. Here they want to meet the Révés, who will take them to a distant star, the planet of the “forever beautiful,” where they can finally find a home. Spirits can only be seen by those “whose hearts are as corrupt and pure as those of children”.

“Gábor Presser performed a miracle. The music blends into the tale as if the prose continues, only in a different tone. It was a pleasure to write the lyrics. Once a friend of mine who taught me dramaturgy said that a musical is good if it doesn’t make sense without the songs.
