In our abFRACKt series, a few things are different: the concert lasts a maximum of one hour, the musicians don't play in black tails, and nobody has to worry about clapping in the wrong place.

And you don't need any special knowledge to understand the music. Just come, listen and be surprised. And if you want to learn a little more about the music, download the free Wolfgang app on your smartphone and let it guide you through a live concert of each work.

Afterwards, we invite you to linger in our foyers, enjoy an abFRACKt cocktail (also available non-alcoholic) in the "Tutti" café, have a glass of wine or beer and relax, chat or simply look out over the city from the balcony. Children are welcome, the Wolfgang app is suitable for children of reading age and above.

About the concert:

There is classical music where you can completely forget the world around you and immerse yourself in another world from the very first bars. The First Piano Concerto by Russian composer Peter Tchaikovsky is undoubtedly one of them. And you don't know what to admire first: the enormous speed and precision of the pianist's hands, or the almost exuberant emotion that comes from the instrument. A piano has 88 keys, but here there seem to be at least three times as many.

In unserer abgeFRACKt-Reihe ist einiges anders: Das Konzert dauert nur höchstens eine Stunde, die Musiker spielen nicht im schwarzen Frack und niemand muss fürchten, an der falschen Stelle zu klatschen.

Und schon gar nicht braucht man irgendwelches Spezialwissen um die Musik "richtig" zu verstehen. Einfach kommen, hören und sich überraschen lassen. Und wer doch etwas mehr über die Musik erfahren möchte, lädt sich die kostenlose Wolfgang-App aufs Smartphone und kann sich dann live im Konzert durch das jeweilige Werk führen lassen.

Danach laden wir ein, noch in unseren Foyers zu bleiben, sich im Café "Tutti" unseren abgeFRACKt-Cocktail (auch alkoholfrei erhältlich), noch ein Glas Wein oder Bier zu holen und noch etwas abzuspannen, sich zu unterhalten oder einfach vom Balkon in die Stadt zu schauen. Kinder sind herzlich erwünscht, die Wolfgang-App eignet sich ab dem lesefähigen Alter.

Zum Konzert:

Es gibt klassische Musik, bei der man schon in den ersten Takten die Welt um sich herum völlig vergessen und in eine andere Welt eintauchen kann. Das Erste Klavierkonzert des russischen Komponisten Peter Tschaikowski gehört zweifellos dazu. Und man weiß gar nicht, was man zuerst bewundern soll: die enorme Geschwindigkeit und Treffsicherheit der Pianistenhände, oder die geradezu überbordenden Emotionen, die da aus dem Instrument kommen. 88 Tasten hat ein Klavier, aber hier scheinen es mindestens dreimal so viele zu sein
