Tchaikovsky predicted the glory of the most popular opera in the world, Carmen. Today, Bizet's masterpiece adorns the stages of the largest theaters in the world, surprising with the variety of its interpretations.And the melodies of "Carmen" have become the most recognizable classics, replicated in numerous audio and computer screensavers, ringtones and other sound space. However, for all its popularity and originality, this opera has never been staged for a young audience, although the melodies from Carmen surround us all the time, and Merimee's short story is a school program at all. In the production of our theater, the great opera by Bizet, based on the immortal short story by Mérimée, will allow young viewers not only to get acquainted with the genre of musical theater itself, but also to comprehend the beauty of one of the most beautiful examples of world musical art.
