There is probably no more popular masterpiece in the history of the opera than Georges Bizet’s Carmen, based on a short novel by Prosper Mérimée, set in a Spanish setting. The catchy melody of Habanera, the Torreádor and the other big “hits” will probably be humming after almost two voices. The main roles are played by the internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Olesya Petrova and the popular tenor of the Hungarian Opera in Cluj-Napoca, Adorján Pataki, and the performance is conducted by Attilio Tomasello, a sought-after and well-known conductor of European opera houses
